Whoopsy Daisy Childcare

Whoopsy Daisy embraces a dynamic culture which focuses on a combination of structured play and an academic based learning environment. An environment that will allow your child to stretch the imagination through a curriculum that begins each day with the Pledge of Allegiance.  At Whoopsy Daisy, we teach, learn and create as we celebrate each holiday traditionally, focusing on the meaning of each holiday and why we celebrate. We will integrate the power of music, art and pets as instruments for learning and as therapy to elevate mood, decrease behaviors and increase responsibility.  Your child will be empowered and strengthened through hands on learning provided to stimulate, develop and encompass the various learning styles of young children. Our environment will allow children to develop and master skills at their own pace.  Our trained staff will nurture your child and offer a rich experience to further enhance your child’s cognitive, physical, social and emotional development.

Yearly Curriculum

Our curriculum is set for the year.  Each month we will emphasize 4 topics for the children.  We spend roughly a week on each subject so that your child can thoroughly learn a subject but also experience variety within a specific time frame.  If you have any questions on the curriculum feel free to contact us.

At Whoopsy Daisy Intergenerational Child Care, we provide a safe and educational setting which allows each child to discover the world around them.  Our goal is to provide children with a fun environment allowing us to build active minds, healthy bodies and happy hearts. At Whoopsy Daisy we are embedded in the past, present and the future, bridging the gap between young and old.  This innovative program provides child care for ages 3-6 years old and includes interaction with participants in our adult day program for seniors, Thelma’s Place.  Something magical happens every day at Whoopsy Daisy when the young and the old spend time together. A special bond forms that rises above differences in age and ability.
An amazing thing happens when the young and the elderly share the same space in an intergenerational program. The attention and encouragement of senior help
children flourish, while seniors enjoy their lives and experiences.  Our participants gather daily in a designated space with Whoopsy Daisy preschoolers with activities like sing-a-longs, baking, crafts, reading or just sharing stories. There is never a shortage of happy smiles and laughter.  At Whoopsy Daisy we are “Bridging the Gap Between Young and Old.” See Canby and Redmond Location pages for our rates. Meals, snacks and curriculum are included in our pricing.
