As an intergenerational community, Whoopsy Daisy Child Care, along with our partners, Country Side Living Memory Care and Thelma’s Place Day Respite provide for interaction between our children and seniors. We strive to strengthen your child’s awareness of the aging process. Teaching them to accept the sight of medical equipment, and the appearances of the aging population. Children learn to respect older adults and become more compassionate for their physical limitations. Your child will have enhanced social skills and academically flourish with our staff and seniors attention and encouragement.  Our seniors, mostly those being cared for by Thelma’s Place, also benefit greatly from the interaction with the children.  Our residents and participants can tell stories of days gone by and maintain self worth.  They are more focused with enhanced socialization, improved overall health and generally just happier.
